PRE-ORDER FAQ

WHAT IS A PRE-ORDER?

It is possible to secure some products before they are released by the manufacturer by pre-ordering them on our website.  This is especially useful when a product is anticipated to be popular, and could sell out in a short time once released. 

WHEN WILL MY PRE-ORDER ARRIVE?

The product listing will give an estimated arrival time for the product.  Sometimes expected release dates are delayed.  We will contact you via email if there are any significant delays or changes.  When stock arrives, pre-orders are dispatched first in the order that the orders were placed.  You can keep track of your pre-orders by logging into your account. 

IMPORTANT: For products that are manufacturered/released overseas, please anticpate an additional 4-6 weeks time for availability in Australia.  Products are released by manufactuers to the public and retailers generally at the same time. Stock is transported via sea freight to Australia.  For this reason, Australia's expected release/availability is longer than those residing in the United Kingdom, Europe or America. 

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED?

You will be charged upon completing the checkout process with the chosen payment method you have opted for.  We do not store payment details. 

CAN I CANCEL MY PRE-ORDER?

Yes, you can cancel a pre-order before it is dispatched.  You can do this by logging into your account or by contacting our team at support@littletrainshop.com.au.  You will also be refunded the total amount paid via the payment method you originally used. 

WHAT IF THE PRICE CHANGES?

The prices listed on our pre-order items are indicative only and may change upon release.  For pre-orders, the price listed at the time of the order is guaranteed.  This means, we will not charge you any difference if the price increase after release.  However, if there is a price drop, we will refund you difference to the payment method you used at the time of checkout. 

WILL YOU HAVE THE STOCK TO FULFILL MY PRE-ORDER?

In most cases, yes, as we have secured the stock in advance.  In the unlikely event that we cannot honour your Pre-Order (expect when a product is completely withdrawn by the wholesaler or manufacturer before release), we will give you a $10 gift voucher to spend online at the Little Train Shop Website in addition to a complete refund of all monies paid in advance on the pre-order. 

HOW MANY ITEMS CAN I PRE-ORDER?

There is no limit to the amount of pre-orders that you can place.  However, for some products, there may be a limit on the number of units you can pre-order.  This will be shown in the item description. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ORDER A MIX OF INSTOCK AND PRE-ORDER ITEMS?

You are welcome to order a mixture of instock and pre-order items, however, your order won't be fulfilled and shipped until all items are in stock and available to be sent to you. We can send instock items to you in advance, but we do require an additional shipping charge of $7.95 to be paid for in advance to cover these costs.
